From Viva Vintage arrived a Jubilee 1887 plate celebrating the Empire. Depicting the Queen in the centre surrounded by four cameos of Imperial scenes: a tiger hunt from the backs of elephants in India; people dashing through the ice in Canada; natives in the wilds of South Africa and a lonely European hunting kangaroos with his dogs in outback Australia. This urn is a beauty and now graces a friend's kitchen bench with flowers. The color is unique and contrasts beautifully with a grey splashback and grey bench top. It could be used in a number of other ways, like putting your dishwashing sponge and brush in it so that they can dry, remain invisible and be at hand. Or it could decorate any part of a house or terrace. The purchase was easy, the wrapping super cushioned so that it arrived in perfect condition. My friend was over the moon about it!
