A very beautiful portrait of a lady- very Jane Austin!
Painted in an ethereal manner- a brunette woman with deep blue eyes, peaches and cream complexion and a dreamy white shawl across her shoulders. A yellow rose pinned near her right shoulder.

Surrounded by original gesso frame with handmade metal hanging loop at centre top

Overall presents nicely. There is a small perforation hole to the canvas near the bottom leaf. There are some chips and knocks to the gesso frame and at the top right corner there is some separation of the frame- still very sound though. The most obvious condition issues have been photographed. The surface is clean and the colours clear. Not free of imperfections but a lovely painting.
This item is antique and not new- there are age related blemishes. Please study the photos closely to determine condition prior to purchase.
