The painting surface is clean and in good condition for an antique piece. There is a lot charm to the edges of the canvas~ this piece really shows all of its wonderful years in the patina and fraying of the canvas. The edges are not perfectly cut in a straight line so if you are partial to a little rustic character this is for you. Whilst there are some lose threads it is secured very well to the stretcher. Quite possibly framed at some stage with a slight shade variation close to the edges along with some small losses and rubbing. Fabulous addition to a kitchen or restaurant wall!
